Sandvik Coromant Partners with Customers to Think, Work and Earn Smart


Fair Lawn, New Jersey, April 18, 2008 - Sandvik Coromant, the world's leading manufacturer of cutting tools for the metalworking industry, recently launched the Smart Campaign - a new global communication initiative that reinforces the company's focus on customer success.

The Smart platform goes beyond Sandvik Coromant's long-standing policy of providing today's manufacturer with dramatic productivity gains and cost savings by supporting customers as they think smart, work smart and earn smart. But these messages are more than just a catchy tagline.

Sandvik Coromant plans to exhibit its newest line of versatile, high-performance inserts and tools at Moldmaking Expo, MD&M East and IMTS 2008, where the cutting tool manufacturer will play host to a variety of "Smart" events. IMTS will also see the company's trade show booth converted into "The Smart Hub," a place for customers to not only view new products and innovative tooling solutions, but also learn more about how the company can aid in the quest to think, work and earn smart.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to visit Sandvik Coromant's trade show ice bar. Inspired by the Absolut® Ice Bar at the legendary ICEHOTEL® in the Swedish Lapland, Sandvik Coromant's version is made of 24 tons of ice cut from the River Torne. Visitors to booth #F-2000 will be able to enjoy a cold drink from a glass made of ice - giving new meaning to the phrase "on the rocks."
