At this year’s Moscow Pharmtech, the Romaco Group will show tableting and secondary packaging solutions based on its Kilian and Promatic product lines. The 2014 event is a renewed opportunity for the engineering specialist to demonstrate its comprehensive expertise to the pharmaceutical industry.
Romaco Kilian tableting solutions
The Romaco Kilian KTP 420X tablet press is ideal for pharmaceutical applications. It compresses up to 360,000 tablets an hour absolutely reliably. The press is characterised by high effective availability and equipped with numerous patented features. The extremely durable compression rollers and wear-free lower punch brakes with patented magnets contribute to the very low total cost of ownership (TCO). The likewise patented punch bellows protect the tablets from lubricants. Thanks to the hermetic separation of the compaction and service areas, no product gets into the machine compartment of the press, and the dramatic reduction in noise, maintenance and cleaning is greatly appreciated by operators. The optimised hygienic design permits quick and easy cleaning. The KTP 420X high speed tablet press made by Romaco Kilian won the iF Award 2014 for innovative design.
Romaco Promatic cartoning solutions
The Romaco Promatic Bipak vertical cartoner is known for its high flexibility and versatility, which underlie its ability to meet the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. With the standard version, the folding cartons are opened and closed automatically but filled manually. For this reason, the cartoner’s extended feed conveyor provides sufficient space for four persons. The machine can be switched flexibly between continuous and intermittent mode depending on the type and number of products to be packed. No additional format parts are needed by Bipak users to change the product or packaging. This is a particular advantage for contract packaging manufacturers, who by definition have to process fluctuating incoming orders at short notice. The machine can optionally also be equipped with various automatic feed systems as well as servo controlled pick place systems. The Romaco Promatic Bipak vertical cartoner achieves a maximum packaging speed of 100 packs per minute.
The Romaco technologies will be on show at the Pharmtech exhibition in Moscow (Russia) from November 25 to 28, 2014, where they can be seen at the ECI Packaging booth (Stand A-214).
