Rockwell Automation to Host 18th Annual Automation Fair Event
Plant-wide optimization, machine builder performance, and sustainable production primary themes at this year's event
ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 28, 2009 - Rockwell Automation is expected to host more than 8,000 attendees in Anaheim, Calif., Nov. 11 and 12 at its 18th annual Automation Fair event. Manufacturing business leaders, industry analysts, and Rockwell Automation solution partners will convene at the Anaheim Convention Center to explore the latest automation solutions from business and industry experts.

Keeping with the Rockwell Automation tradition to host the annual Automation Fair event as an educational forum, company executives will focus on three themes that are top-of-mind for manufacturing leaders today:
Plant-Wide Optimization - Manufacturers continue to converge factory controls and information technology, driven by productivity, globalization, innovation and sustainability. Rockwell Automation will address how information-driven, plant-wide optimization will change manufacturing and production processes in the short and long term, and position companies for an economic recovery.
Machine Builder Performance - A scalable architecture is a key differentiator that helps machine builders improve productivity while reducing their total cost to design, develop and deliver innovative machines for optimal performance. Company executives will discuss how the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture system can change how OEMs design a machine solution and the impact it could have on their business.
Sustainable Production - Strategic energy management is becoming an increasingly important element of sustainable production. Rockwell Automation executives, customers, the U.S. Department of Energy and other experts will share innovative approaches to better manage and reduce industrial energy costs while supporting their environmental and safety objectives as well.
In addition to the customer-focused Automation Fair event, Rockwell Automation will bring together industry journalists and analysts for Manufacturing Perspectives, a global media forum where the leading news topics in manufacturing technology and automation are discussed. The forum on Nov. 10 will include panel discussions with customers, industry analysts and Rockwell Automation executives. Jeremy Leonard, an economist with the MAPI Manufacturers Alliance, also will speak about the impact that global competition and innovation have on manufacturing.
