Rick Rohrer Named General Manager for Compliance Controls and Murphy Power Ignition

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Rick T. Rohrer has been named General Manager for Compliance Controls, LLC and General Manager of Murphy Power Ignition (MPI). Compliance Controls (www.compliancecontrols.com) is a joint venture of MIRATECH Corporation and FW Murphy that provides state-of-the-art Windows®-based air-to-fuel ratio control systems for rich and lean burn as well as fuel-injected stationary spark-ignited natural gas fueled engines. Murphy Power Ignition (www.murphy-pi.com) is a manufacturer of advanced technology instruments that maximize the power of industrial spark-ignited natural gas-powered engines. Murphy Power Ignition is wholly owned by Murphy. Both Compliance Controls and Murphy Power Ignition are Tulsa, Oklahoma-based companies.

"Compliance Controls and Murphy Power Ignition will continue to operate as separate entities each with its own staff," said Compliance Controls president, Kevin O'Sullivan. "But the two companies' close common focus on control and monitoring technologies for spark ignited gas engines - as well as common elements in their sales and distribution channels - makes a single general manager for both companies a strategic opportunity," O'Sullivan adds.

Rohrer brings extensive executive level domestic and international experience implementing sales, marketing and operational strategies to this newly created position. Rohrer is a past executive vice president for sales and marketing for Engius, LLC - a leader in advanced technology products to the concrete construction industry. Prior to Engius, Rohrer was vice president for customer service and Hilti Center operations for Hilti, a global multi-billion dollar manufacturer of construction fastening equipment.

Compliance Controls MEC-R, MEC-L, and MEC-FI controllers help engines minimize fuel consumption while maximizing catalyst performance for precise continuous compliance for rich burn, lean burn and fuel injected natural gas engines. The Murphy Power Ignition product line includes processor-based, capacitor-discharge ignition systems for spark ignited natural gas powered engines. Available components include the controller, sensors, harnesses, coils and an electrical generator with battery pack for start-up.
