Rick Marshall Named President of Wausau Window and Wall Systems


Wausau, Wis. -- Rick Marshall has been named as president of Wausau Window and Wall Systems, in addition to his current responsibilities as president of Linetec, one of the nation's largest independent architectural finishers.

In Marshall's new role, he will work closely with Wausau's leadership team to continue sales growth for the company's custom-engineered products and its Advantage by Wausau pre-engineered windows. Additionally, he will oversee operational improvements and executive management at Wausau and Linetec.

Wausau and Linetec are located in Wausau, Wis., and are subsidiaries of Apogee Enterprises, Inc. (Nasdaq: APOG) and part of Apogee's architectural segment. Under Marshall's leadership, Linetec's most recent accomplishments include:

constructing a new in-house blendable paints laboratory to quickly and accurately match customers' color requests being named 2006 "Best Company to Work For" by U.S. Glass winning 2006 Governor's award as Exemplary Employer for its commitment to the principles of diversity in the workplace developing a continuing education series and online learning program through the American Institute of Architects expanding its "green" and sustainable-design offering, while continuing to invest in its own environmental leadership and practices.

Marshall joined Wausau and Linetec in 1996 as divisional vice president of finance for both business units, and in 1999 was promoted to Linetec president. Prior to Apogee, he was with IBM. He has an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business in Philadelphia and a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
