RIA Announces 2013 Golden Quill Award Winner



Rockville, MD – The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) awarded its prestigious 2013 Golden Quill award to Tracy Bachtell of Paul Davis Restoration at its recent Leadership Summit and Industry Expo in Las Vegas, Nev.



Presented annually at the RIA Convention, eligible articles are reviewed by a panel of judges who select the winning article based on the degree of usefulness of the information to readers; the composition and clarity of the article; and the style or personality conveyed by the author. Only articles written by RIA members and submitted to C&R magazine during the previous year are eligible for award consideration.



“My goal was to make the industry aware of the importance of transparency between contractors and adjusters during the restoration process,” said Bachtell. “I am truly honored to receive this award.”



“RIA is fortunate to have many extremely knowledgeable members and industry experts who are willing to share their expertise with our readers,” said Editor-in-Chief Patricia Harman. “Ninety-five percent of the articles that appear in C&R are written by RIA members and industry experts. This year, eight articles were eligible for the award.”



Cleaning & Restoration magazine has won 22 awards for editorial and design excellence over the last eight years.
