RIA and CCINW Sign Affiliation Agreement

Columbia, MD - The Carpet Cleaners Institute of the Northwest (CCINW) and the Restoration Industry Association® (RIA) have entered into an affiliation agreement, which will go into effect October 1, 2009.

Under the agreement, CCINW becomes an RIA affiliated organization, providing its members with discounts to RIA sponsored programs and events; access to RIA's online technical library at no charge; access to RIA's technical advisors at substantially discounted rates; complimentary subscriptions to RIA's monthly e-newsletter, NewsBreak, and to the e-version of the Association's monthly, award-winning magazine, Cleaning & Restoration®; discounts on any RIA products; and special pricing for joining RIA as full-fledged members.

In addition to these benefits, RIA will provide certain member administration services for CCINW.

CCINW will be a chartered affiliate association representing the textile and flooring services cleaning industry in the Northwest, which encompasses Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia and Alberta. The organization will also be an authorized affiliate location representing the damage repair and property mitigation and remediation industry in the same area, and promote RIA programs to its members in the region.

"RIA understands that the best opportunities for growth come from affiliating with local organizations who share the same priorities and values," said RIA President Jeff Jones, CRS. "As an international trade association with members worldwide, RIA looks forward to developing mutually beneficial opportunities for our organizations and sharing the best practices information and knowledge our members have to offer."

CCINW President Thea Sand, CRS, agrees that growth for their organization also comes from affiliating with strong, knowledgeable and ethical organizations. "Affiliating with RIA connects our members to services that we believe are among the best in the industry. Many of our members are too small to travel outside of their areas and join an international trade association. This affiliation allows them to have easy access to a high level of knowledge and expertise."
