Rep. Peters will welcome more than 300 international biotechnology researchers and companies to BIO’s Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology, delivering remarks at the opening lunch plenary session, titled Building a Successful Chemicals Business Across the Pacific Rim.

WHY:
BIO is hosting its eighth annual Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy, the original conference dedicated solely to the growth of the industrial biotechnology and bioenergy sectors in North America and the Asia-Pacific region. San Diego is home to a thriving biotechnology community that includes many companies developing applications for renewable chemicals, advanced biofuels, algae, and other industrial applications. Rep. Peters is the Congressional Representative for a significant segment of San Diego’s biotechnology community.
