Renishaw's REVO and TRS2 Category Winners at MACH 08

May 2008 - Two Renishaw technologies for enhancing manufacturing precision earned top category honors at the MACH '08 machine tool show in Birmingham, England, winning out against worldwide entries.

The REVO system for ultra-high-speed part measurement on coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) won "Best quality control" honors. It was praised by the judges as "an absolutely brilliant idea which speeds the measurement of complex component shapes."

The TRS2 laser-based system for broken tool detection won in the category of "Best tooling product, equipment or system." Judges called it "a boon to unmanned operation, crammed with technology to provide accurate and consistent operation under hostile conditions."

Both technologies are available in North America and will be exhibited at Renishaw's booth No. D4511 at IMTS in September.
