Quantum Awarded CleanTech OC 2010 Company of the Year Award


IRVINE, Calif., Sept. 28 - Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: QTWW) today announced that CleanTech OC has awarded Quantum Technologies with the CleanTech OC 2010 Company of the Year Award. The award was presented to Quantum on Monday, September 27, 2010 at its first annual conference, CleanTech OC 2010, which showcased Orange County's most prominent clean technology companies, academics, investors, and service providers. The conference was held at the Irvine Hyatt Regency with over 300 attendees from academia, local government, and the private sector. Quantum Technologies was the only recipient of this award.

As part of the conference, Quantum's Chief Financial Officer, Brian Olson, provided a corporate overview of Quantum Technologies highlighting the company's long-term involvement in clean automotive technologies and its participation in the Fisker Karma vehicle program.

"We are truly honored to be the first recipient of this significant and relevant award," said Alan Niedzwiecki, President and CEO of Quantum Technologies, who accepted the award.

CleanTech OC is a new non-profit trade association promoting economic growth in the Orange County clean technology industry. CleanTech OC aims to strengthen Orange County's reputation as a center of clean tech innovation, investment, and research and is likely to be one of the most significant engines for job growth in Southern California over the next decade.
