Quaker Chemical and Safety-Kleen to Jointly Offer Unique Metalworking Fluid Management Program


Conshohocken, PA., September 24, 2007 - Quaker Chemical Corporation (NYSE:KWR) and Safety-Kleen Systems, Inc. have joined forces to offer companies in the metalworking industry a unique blend of high-quality products and environmental services from both companies.

o Supplying premium Quaker coolants and maintaining them at optimum concentration
levels to ensure top performance across the full range of metalworking operations; turnkey services also include portable coolant filtration, coolant sump cleaning, coolant replenishment and spent coolant disposal.
o Increasing manufacturing line efficiency by reducing downtime to re-work parts,
recalibrate machines or clean CNC/machine tool sumps, while improving both the quality
and finish of parts.
o Providing customized CNC/machine tool maintenance based on actual customer
manufacturing processes and schedules, including service on nights and weekends.
o Analyzing customer-specific metalworking requirements and concerns, such as metal
types, cutting processes and temperatures, water hardness, etc., in order to design
complete solutions tailored to individual customer needs.

Safety-Kleen's North American network of more than 160 facilities and service centers will now be augmented by Quaker's extensive network of "Value Added Representatives," allowing the two companies to deliver unmatched service to all metalworking facilities, regardless of size.
