Sealpac UK Limited, the exclusive distributor in the UK and Ireland has been purchased by Kevin Witheford, former MD of Ishida Qualitech in Poole.
The company, based in Wokingham offers full sales and service support for the whole of the Sealpac range of stainless steel tray sealers, thermoformers and ancillary equipment which are designed for the MAP and skin packaging of fresh meat, ready meals, pasta and other food products.
"I am particularly pleased to be working with Sealpac again" says Kevin, "Having been involved in the launch of the product line in the UK in1996 and seeing the continuing innovation in packs that can be produced and developments in the equipment, the chance to grow the UK business was an opportunity I couldn't resist."
Over 300 Sealpac Traysealers and Thermo-formers have entered service in the UK and Ireland in the last 15 years in addition to 600+ specialist tool sets. In this time tray sealing has become a mainstream packaging technology, with many applications as diverse as salads and ready meals. In parallel with machine development, the company has introduced the "Inside Cut" (TM) technology for top seals, the award winning 'Chicken Dome', "Dream Steam" valve lids for improved microwave packs and more recently packaging solutions such as Trayskin, Thermoskin, TenderPac, and Shrinkstyle to name but a few of the innovations developed by Sealpac and its partners....
