Publication Date for 2013 AMT Directory and Buyers Guide Scheduled

McLean, Va. ... In order to better serve the manufacturing industry, AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology today announced that the publication date for the 2013 AMT Directory and Buyers Guide will be September 2013.

The Buyers Guide, produced by Gardner Business Media, Inc., in cooperation with TechSpex, is distributed to readers of Modern Machine Shop and focuses on builder-distributor relationships. It was originally a product of AMTDA – the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association.

“With the merger of AMT and AMTDA last year, new opportunities for stronger, more flexible products that are better able to serve our membership became apparent to all of us,” said Douglas K. Woods, AMT President. “We are going to take some time to build a comprehensive online and print directory representing our membership, and have plans for a strong online presence and a print product with essential information and broader distribution, including a global component.”

The plan moving forward is to produce the IMTS Directory and Buyers Guide in the even years and the AMT Directory and Buyers Guide in odd years. Both will come out in September.

Gardner Business Media, Inc., will continue to partner with AMT to produce the 2013 AMT Directory and Buyers Guide. TechSpex will continue to house the data for the product. Additionally, AMT, Gardner and TechSpex are in ongoing discussions about partnering on online and print products that will continue to serve the needs of U.S. manufacturers, distributors and users of industrial equipment.
