Professional Grade Plastic Tubing Now Available Online: ProTubing.com
(McMinnville, OR) An online store enabling consumers to purchase professional grade plastic tubing was launched today. The store, www.ProTubing.com, is run by plastic tubing manufacturer Freelin-Wade. The store is a first for the flexible tubing industry. It lets consumers buy professional grade tubing in relatively small quantities, direct from the manufacturer.
Freelin-Wade sales manager Scott Schwarm said, "With ProTubing, we're really going after the do-it-yourselfer who is unsatisfied with the limited tubing choices and quality they see at their local retail store. These consumers have been asking for this for years but we've had no way to service that market. Through ProTubing, now we can."
With the options available at the store, consumers can for the first time, select exactly the right tube for their application. "Each tube and each material has it's own qualities that make it right for the job," Schwarm said. "Pressure, the media going through the tube, and the flexibility that's required are all factors that influence what tube is best. At the local hardware store, you might get to pick between polyethylene and PVC. At ProTubing, the consumer can choose from two different polyurethanes, flexible PVC, two different polyethylenes, and nylon 11."
The vast majority of Freelin-Wade customers will continue to be serviced by the company's global distributor network for their tubing needs. ProTubing on the other hand, is a retail store meant for small end user consumers. ProTubing's home page states that they specialize in orders under $100. All of the tubing comes packaged in lengths of 50 or 100 feet and ship via UPS. The customer can choose from several delivery options.
