Printec USA, Inc. Completes Acquisition of IDP Corp
Boston, Ma (August 3, 2011) -- Printec USA, Inc. a global figure in the manufacturing of membrane keypads and human machine interface (HMI) devices today announced it has acquired Innovative Design Products, Inc (IDP) of Anaheim, Ca., a manufacturer of membrane switch assemblies and graphic overlays since 1988. The Anaheim facility is ISO certified with 11,000 sq/ft of manufacturing, office and warehouse space.
Printec's acquisition of IDP, and its highly experienced staff, strengthens its position as a global leader in high quality, low-cost products. The 17-year relationship between IDP and Printec as a supplier has developed synergies in markets, products and customer bases. The merger represents a pooling of engineering and manufacturing expertise of two major US companies in the HMI industry and is expected to generate sales reaching $40 million annual globally, with approximately $20 million being produced through Printec USA, Inc/ Printec IDP, Inc.
The addition of a West coast facility will complement Printec's global service-oriented manufacturing to offer more competitive pricing for our customers and offer substantial cost advantages. This acquisition is a natural fit for both companies.
