Pradeesh Somasundaram Named Manager - Supply Chain & Cip at Eagleburgmann USA

(Houston, Texas) - EagleBurgmann -- a world leader in the manufacture of mechanical seals, systems, packing and expansion joints -- is pleased to announce that Pradeesh Somasundaram has joined the team as Manager of Supply Chain & Continuous Improvement of Processes (CIP).
With more than seven years of practice in supply chain, strategic sourcing and CIP, Somasundaram brings prior experience in the pump industry to EagleBurgmann. As a Supply Chain and CIP lead with one of EagleBurgmann's industry competitors, Somasundaram's experience includes e-sourcing, contract negotiations and low-cost sourcing in a make-to-order/make-to-stock environment.
In his role at EagleBurgmann, Somasundaram will provide leadership and organizational direction for the Supply Chain Management initiatives, as well as develop and implement strategies for CIP.
Somasundaram is a graduate of Bharathiar University in India with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He has also earned is Master of Science in industrial engineering and his MBA at the Wichita State University concentrating in operations and finance. Somasundaram is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ, and he is Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) from APICS.
