Practice Fusion Signs 120th Revenue-Generating Deal with a Radiology Partner for Its Electronic Health Records (EHR) Platform to Become the Largest Hub Connecting Imaging Centers and Providers in the U.S.

SAN FRANCISCO – Practice Fusion, the nation's largest cloud-based electronic health records (EHR) platform, announced that it signed its 120(th) revenue-generating deal with a U.S. radiology imaging clinic or chain to connect with Practice Fusion's community of 112,000 medical professionals. Eighteen months after Practice Fusion launched its Imaging API to streamline electronic ordering and radiology report transmission, the Practice Fusion platform has now become the largest hub connecting imaging radiology centers and providers in the country. Connected partners include leading independent imaging chains, such as Outpatient Imaging Affiliates and Doshi Diagnostic, and imaging center divisions of hospital systems like Adventist Health System, Sutter Health Mills-Peninsula Health Services and Crozer Keystone Health System.

"At a time when integration is a key component to successful partnerships between physicians and imaging providers, the Practice Fusion partnership was a strategic enhancement, straightforward and of great benefit to Marquis Diagnostic Imaging - referring providers and their patients," said Michael Benson, IT/RIS/PACS director, Marquis Diagnostic Imaging.

With Practice Fusion's cloud-based model and simple secure Imaging API, an imaging center can get up and running in a short time, and enable interfaces with new clients in a couple of clicks. Practice Fusion's configurable ordering interface ensures that all referring providers see a complete list of available modalities in a given clinic, and the electronic order includes patient, provider and health plan details. This helps reduce the risk of rejected claims and non-payment, while making it easier for a radiology clinic to follow up with patient reminders. Patients benefit from the integration as well, as the radiologist's report and key images are included in the patient's chart and on the patient portal, Patient Fusion.

"Providers using the Practice Fusion EHR order 40,000 to 50,000 imaging studies every day, and hundreds of practices adopt the Practice Fusion EHR every month. For all of our imaging partners, that is a large and growing community they might not otherwise be able to reach." said Ryan Howard, founder and CEO, Practice Fusion. "For any partner looking to reach more than 100,000 medical professionals with a single, simple interface, Practice Fusion is the clear choice and the EHR vendor best positioned to help that imaging center succeed."
