Phoenix Contact Named Manufacturer of the Year by NEDA

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. - Phoenix Contact recently won the National Electronic Distributors Association's (NEDA) 2006 Manufacturer of the Year Award. Scott McLendon, vice president and general manager of Phoenix Contact USA, accepted the award at NEDA's Executive Conference in Chicago.

Phoenix Contact was honored as the top manufacturer-supplier of passive components, while ON Semiconductor won the active components award. The award recognizes the manufacturer-supplier that best demonstrates the spirit of partnership in the electronic distribution industry. The winners are chosen by a vote of NEDA's 300 distributor members.

NEDA also honored Arnold Offner, Phoenix Contact's Industry Standards Manager, with a Distinguished Service Award. Offner was recognized for his involvement in the Component Roundtable on environmental aspects, the European RoHS Directive and other distribution industry-related activities.

"Distribution remains a key element of Phoenix Contact's success," said McLendon. "We appreciate all of our distribution partners and thank those who are members of NEDA for these very special awards."
