People on the Move spotlights trailblazers in standardization, highlighting their latest achievements, advancements, and contributions to the standards community.

ASTM International has recently appointed Brian Meincke as assistant vice president of business development. In this capacity, Mr. Meincke holds responsibility for identifying and developing new business opportunities across the full spectrum of ASTM International products, programs, and services.

Mr. Meincke previously served as senior director of membership development, membership marketing, and industry outreach at the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) where he was responsible for the leadership, management, and marketing of the Institute's membership activities, along with identifying and implementing key strategic alliances with industry associations and corporations.

Prior to joining ANSI, Mr. Meincke worked in business development roles in organizations such as the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the American Institute of Architects, and in the for-profit sector at Bentley Systems Incorporated. Mr. Meincke holds a bachelor's degree in political science from St. Joseph's University.

ASTM International, an organizational member and audited designator of ANSI, seeks to develop voluntary consensus standards to improve product quality, enhance safety, facilitate market access and trade, and build consumer confidence.
