ANSI organizational member and accredited standards developer BICSI, a professional association supporting the information technology systems (ITS) industry, has announced a number of promotions and structural staffing changes. Betty Eckebrecht has been promoted to vice president of administration and chief financial officer. In her six years with BICSI Ms. Eckebrecht has served as director of administration and finance, acting director of international operations, and acting executive director. Previously she was chief financial officer for the American Agricultural Economics Association (AAEA). She is a certified public accountant (CPA) and certified association executive (CAE), and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa. Maarja Kolberg has been promoted to director of membership and marketing. Ms. Kolberg previously served as BICSI's communications manager and communications coordinator. She is credentialed as a CAE and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of South Dakota. BICSI provides information, education, and knowledge assessment for individuals and companies in the ITS industry. The association serves more than 23,000 ITS professionals, including designers, installers, and technicians who provide the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life safety, and automation systems.
