ANSI member and accredited standards developer IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries has named John Hasselmann as its vice president of government relations. Mr. Hasselmann will oversee the implementation of IPC’s global policy agenda and advocacy levels, and will collaborate with the organization’s Government Relations Steering Committee and staff on projects related to public policy and government relations.



Prior to joining IPC, Mr. Hasselmann was employed as senior director of government relations at BSA – The Software Alliance, where he oversaw BSA’s political action committee and built relationships with members of Congress. He has previous experience working within Congress and has been involved in a number of political campaigns as a fundraiser and advisor. He received his bachelor of arts degree in political science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
