Patriot Manufacturing Acquires Quality Components Corporation

Bristol, CT manufacturer continues to expand

Patriot Manufacturing of Bristol is pleased to announce that it has acquired the assets and customer relationships of Quality Components Corp. of Plainville, effective August 30, 2013. Quality Components Corp. is owned by Wendall Theriault and has been in business for more than 30 years.

Ed Borkoski, owner of Patriot, commented: “This acquisition is a strategic advancement for my company because we are an established metal stamping/fourslide manufacturer and Quality is an excellent fit for our capabilities. Quality’s customers provide us greater presence in markets we currently serve (such as fasteners/hardware and electrical) and offer opportunities in new markets (such as automotive and appliances). Wendall has run a fine operation for many years and we are proud to carry on his tradition with Quality’s customers.”

Wendall Theriault commented: “I have decided to retire after more than 30 years in business and wanted to find the best “home” I could for my customers. I believe that Ed’s company will serve them well.”

Patriot began its business in 2006 with the acquisition of Stanhelm Mfg. assets.

Stanhelm was established 60 years earlier in Bristol and served the metal stamping, flat spring, and progressive die needs of the business community. Since 2006, Patriot has expanded through internal growth and by asset acquisitions of BES Designs in 2010 providing greater presence in the fourslide spring industry and the Waterjet segment of Nutmeg Tool in 2012, which opened new opportunities to develop/use the waterjet in serving Patriot’s customers.
