Participants from 51 Countries Vote to Name Loma Systems 'Best Weighing Company'

Carol Stream, Illinois, USA – The Loma Systems Group, an ITW company and worldwide leader in quality inspection systems for the food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries, has been selected by the international community to receive the weighing companies worldwide. The company also won 'Best Dosing, Filling and Packaging Solution' for the LCW/CW3 Dual-lane Checkweigher and 'Best Weighing Software' for the TRACS data management solution.
"The International Weighing Review Awards recognizes the best companies, products and solutions in the worldwide weighing community," says Nuno Matos, Founder of the International Weighing Review. "The Loma Systems Group was nominated along with 31 other weighing companies for the top award. With votes from participants in 51 countries, The Loma Systems Group received top honors as 'Best Weighing Company.' Mr. Matos, on behalf of the International Weighing Review extended his congratulations.
The company also won 'Best Dosing, Filling and Packaging Solution' for the LCW/CW3 Dual-lane Checkweigher. The dynamic system checks weights and measures on two lanes simultaneously, often doubling production output. "We designed this system as a special request for a Chicago, IL-based contract packaging company," states Carlos Aillon, Engineering Manager. "Based on their customers' demands, they needed a weighing system that could get products on retailers' shelves quickly without compromising tolerances." The system has become a popular staple in many of the world's food processing facilities.
TRACS data management solution for weighing systems won the 'Best Weighing Software' award. The software was developed in conjunction with partner, AutoCoding Systems, Ltd. to work specifically with the LCW series of checkweighers. TRACS provides real-time graphical data to manage and control product give-away and waste. "TRACS calculates the cost of product give-away and payback as well as identifies cost saving opportunities," commented Laura Studwell, Marketing Manager.
