With Memorial Day Weekend and warmer weather right around the corner, ParknPool encourages clients to pull their pool furniture out of storage to make sure it is still in good shape for the upcoming season. While special care and maintenance can be taken to prolong the life of chaise lounges, poolside tables and poolside chairs, putting off replacing your pool furniture can be a costly mistake.
When inspecting your existing pool furniture and determining whether to replace the pieces, it is imperative to carefully inspect all products and/or indications of wear. Inspect any spring assemblies and the weld areas of seats, arms and legs. If any cracks appear on the product or at welds the item should be immediately removed from use until it is repaired. Inspect all bolts, if there is any loose or missing hardware, remove the item from use immediately until the hardware can be properly tightened and/or replaced. Inspect all straps and slings, if there are any loose, missing or damaged straps/slings, remove the item from use immediately until it can be repaired and/or replacement parts can be installed. Inspect all chaise lounge headrest ratchets, and periodically tighten all hardware. Confirm movement is smooth and that the ratchet engages properly at each position. Be sure there is no breakage and/or wear on the ratchets. If breakage or wear is present, remove the item from use immediately until repaired and/or replacement parts are installed.
Use of furniture needing care and maintenance or use of damaged furniture can result in injury. In addition, minor repair issues can quickly become major repair and service issues if not resolved. Product failure caused by a lack of reasonable necessary care and maintenance is not covered by any product warranty. If it is determined that new pool furniture pieces must be ordered as replacements, ParknPool has announced April 11th, 2014 as their deadline for receiving items by Memorial Day Weekend.
