Supports Customers With Design and Manufacturing of EMI Shielded Products
Woburn, MA September 20, 2007 - Chomerics Asia Pacific division of Parker Hannifin Corporation announced the opening of a new facility in Sriperumbudur near Chennai, India. Located adjacent to the 260 acre Special Economic Zone, the facility will enable Chomerics to better serve the rapidly growing Indian market for IT, telecom and consumer electronic products. With nearly 1700 sq meters of manufacturing and office space, the plant will produce electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielded products to support local customers.
According to general manager Shu Peng, "Chomerics new Chennai facility has been built to satisfy customer needs with a staff of qualified engineers and skilled manufacturing personnel." Plant Manager Suryamurty Baskaran adds, "This is Chomerics Asia Pacific division's first facility in India. It is well-positioned, next to the Special Economic Zone, nearby our customers in telecommunications and electronics assembly.?
