Parker Chomerics Announces AS9100B Quality System Registration


WOBURN, MA, September 30, 2008 - Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, announced that its Chomerics Division has achieved AS9100B registration for EMI/RFI and thermal management products manufactured in Woburn, Massachusetts; Hudson, New Hampshire; and Jalisco (Guadalajara), Mexico. AS9100B is an internationally recognized quality system standard strongly adhered to by major global aerospace manufacturers.

According to Chomerics Division Quality Manager David Quaglieri, "Achieving AS9100B registration demonstrates Chomerics' ongoing commitment to quality and continuous improvement, which includes the use of lean manufacturing techniques and the tools of six sigma. Building on the ISO 9001:2000 platform, AS9100B places greater emphasis on design and process control, product configuration management, purchasing and supply chain processes."

The AS9100B registration is held in conjunction with Chomerics certifications at specific sites to ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 (environmental), and ISO/TS16949:2002 (automotive) standards.
