The devices earned the recognition in the Wiring Devices category. Platinum, Gold and Silver Product of the Year winners will be announced in July.
The P&S Tamper-Resistant Nightlight/GFCI Receptacle is a GFCI receptacle with a built-in nightlight, providing safety and convenience for homeowners, contractors and remodelers. The Receptacle also includes a shutter system, preventing children from inserting metal objects into the socket and touching electrically live components.
The Receptacles meet the 2008 National Electrical Code® (NEC) standards for child electrical safety. The sealed LED nightlight has a 20-year life expectancy, eliminating the need to change bulbs. A photocell illuminates in the dark and turns off automatically in the daytime, saving energy.
