Oxford Instruments Expands Its Comprehensive Product Line of X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) Coating Thickness Instruments for Quality Control

Concord, MA – Oxford Instruments, a leader in coating thickness analysis, has added several new analyzers to its product line, now offering the most complete range of products available for coating thickness on the U.S. market today.  Oxford Instruments recently significantly extended its XRF product range for coating thickness by adding the COMPACT Eco, MAXXI Eco and MAXXI 5 models to its highly-successful X-Strata product line and is now investing in a center of excellence for design and manufacturing, based in Taunusstein, Germany.

Use of XRF analytical instruments for the non-destructive analysis of solids and liquids in the coating thickness process can significantly help to reduce operating costs, improve profit margins, ensure product quality and provide process control for general metal finishing, plating, anodizing, and electronics across a wide range of industries including, high reliability electronics, aerospace, automotive and general metal finishing.  Manufacturers who need to comply with numerous safety standards and specifications now have more choices available from Oxford Instruments to accurately plate to specification and authenticate purchases at incoming inspection, on the line, and at final quality check, as well as to ensure RoHS compliance so that every product introduced into the manufacturing process adheres to global and/or local standards.

This range of instruments will continue to expand to provide coating thickness solutions for a broad range of industries and applications, allowing the customer to choose an economical model or the precise configuration match for their testing needs through the selection of higher-end detectors for improved performance and to ensure critical coating processes are controlled to specification.  These new Oxford Instruments coating thickness analyzers provide single- or multi-layer analysis with larger chamber options to permit measurement of samples in various sizes, such as brake drums, pistons, tools, faucets, knobs, plumbing fixtures, electronic components, fasteners, and jewelry.
