OSRAM SYLVANIA and Lowe's Debut ULTRA SE(TM) LED Lightbulb Family Featuring Sunset Effects Dimming in Stores
New SYLVANIA LED Bulbs Featuring Sunset Effects, Color Changing Technology for Incandescent-Like Dimming to a Warmer Color are now available
PHILADELPHIA and DANVERS, Mass. — North American lighting leader OSRAM SYLVANIA has joined with Lowe's to debut the ULTRA SE™ LED Family of reflector bulbs with sunset effects, incandescent-like dimming available in stores. Available in R20, BR30 and BR40 types, SYLVANIA ULTRA SE LED bulbs combine energy-efficiency with new technology for the flexibility of customizing mood and ambience in any setting.
Now available on Lowes.com and in most Lowe's locations, ULTRA SE LED bulbs evoke images of the setting sun as lamps dim and offer the benefit of energy-efficiency without sacrificing the design aesthetics of incandescent light sources. The color of the SYLVANIA ULTRA SE LED bulb family changes from bright white to a warm amber, similar to incandescent bulbs, as they dim down to 10 percent of their initial brightness.
"Whether entertaining, dining, or relaxing, lighting ambience is key for many consumers. Some hesitate to switch from traditional bulbs because they desire the rich, warm color of dimmed incandescent lights, but at the cost of increasing their energy bills," said Ellen Sizemore, product portfolio manager LED lamps, OSRAM SYLVANIA. SYLVANIA ULTRA SE LED bulbs have a rated bulb life of 25,000 hours. In a typical residential application, with lights turned on for three hours a day, that 25,000 hours translates to nearly 23 years. These first ULTRA SE LED bulbs are designed for track lighting, wall washing, and recessed downlighting. SYLVANIA ULTRA SE LED bulbs feature no warm-up time, instant-on with full light output and stable color. The products are environmentally preferred since the bulbs are RoHS-compliant and contain no mercury, lead or other hazardous materials.
