OPEN MIND Technologies USA (Wellesley Hills, MA) has opened a Chicago-based support function in close proximity to its customers and machine-tool partners in Illinois, Wisconsin, and the Midwest. The facility will provide demonstrations, training, and technical support for Open Mind¡¦s hyperMILL"µ multi-axis CAM software for complex, high-end applications.
Regional Manager Scott McLeland is responsible for the support operations and interfacing with all customers in the region. With Open Mind since 2004, his background includes starting out in CAD design and then becoming an NC programmer and manufacturing engineer in the mold and die industry for nine years followed by
nine years as a sales and technical engineer in the CAD/CAM software industry.
This new office complements Open Mind¡¦s existing Detroit and Boston-area facilities to help service many key markets directly. The company will continue to use independent dealers in Canada, Central and South America, and across the United States.
