ON Semiconductor Honored with "Best Power Solution Supplier 2007"
SHENZHEN, China- Nov. 28, 2007 - ON Semiconductor (Nasdaq: ONNN), a global leader in efficient power semiconductor solutions, has received a Best Power Solution Supplier 2007 award from Skyworth Group, the second largest LCD TV and set-top box manufacturer in China.
This award recognizes ON Semiconductor's leadership in efficient power solutions and responsiveness to Skyworth's application needs. It also acknowledges the significant contributions of a joint power laboratory between ON Semiconductor and Skyworth in developing energy-efficient and cost-effective AC-DC power solutions for LCD TVs and high definition TVs.
Since the establishment of the joint power lab in August, 2006, ON Semiconductor's resident field application engineering team has developed power solutions in conjunction with Skyworth's research and development teams. Devices featured in the solutions include Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and fixed-frequency current-mode controllers, Power Factor Correction (PFC) controllers, resonant-mode controllers, power MOSFETs and Schottky barrier rectifiers.
