OKI Receives ESCO Project Award 2010 from the Ministry of Energy in Thailand

TOKYO, January 18, 2011 - OKI Data Corporation, an OKI Group company specialized in the professional color printer business today announced that its manufacturing facility, OKI Data Manufacturing Thailand, has been awarded the "ESCO (Energy Service Company) Project Award 2010" by Thailand's Ministry of Energy. The award recognizes the facility's proactive efforts to promote resource conservation.

Supported by the Research Agency for Industrial Resources, Industrial Federation,
Resource Development and Protection Agency and the Ministry of Industry, the
ESCO Project Award 2010 is awarded to businesses in Thailand that take notable
steps to promote resource conservation. For 2010, the ESCO Project Award was
granted to thirteen businesses. The award was presented by the Minister of
Energy at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.

Established in Ayutthaya 1994, OKI Data Manufacturing Thailand annually
manufactures 500,000 units of printers and multi-function printers for the
global market. As part of its resource conservation plans, the facility has
introduced a water-cooling cold source supply equipment to air-condition
its clean rooms, a measure that helps reduce electrical consumption by
260,000kWh annually.

In 2008, OKI Data Manufacturing Thailand was certified by the government of
the Kingdom of Thailand as a company active in promoting environmental
conservation. The government gave the facility high marks for various activities,
including shortened operating hours made possible by enhanced production efficiency,
improvements in its supply chain management, and the development of manufacturing
technologies designed to achieve low CO2 emissions. The facility also participates in
the National Environmental Conservation Program sponsored by the Ministry of
Industry.

"OKI Data Manufacturing Thailand is active in numerous many environmental
protection programs and I am excited by the Ministry of Energy's recognition of
our efforts." says Harushige Sugimoto, President of OKI Data. "Among our various
activities, employees volunteer once a year to plant mangrove trees that help
protect the seacoast environment. Going forward, we will continue to engage
in programs that build closer ties to local governments and communities while
contributing to resource conservation and the realization of a low-carbon society."
