NTN Buzztime Launches New Web Site to Support Customers


User-friendly site offers turnkey promotional marketing tools for busy restaurateurs and bar owners

CARLSBAD, Calif., July 11 /-- NTN Buzztime, Inc. (AMEX:NTN), a leading developer and distributor of Play Along TV® entertainment and technology, today launches My.buzztime.com to assist subscribing operators of bars and restaurants in realizing the full potential of their Buzztime service. The Buzztime network consisting of nearly 4,000 bars and restaurants across North America and the UK and features trivia, sports, casual and casino games played on televisions within each location.

NTN Buzztime developed My.buzztime.com exclusively for bar and restaurant operators who subscribe to the Buzztime Network. It is designed to provide the necessary resources to promote the Buzztime service as well as food and drink specials and in-bar promotions to their customers and throughout their local community. Information provided on this Web site will also assist operators in utilizing the supplemental advertising tools on the Buzztime Network to create additional revenue.

Restaurant and bar operators on the network receive a My.buzztime.com access code and password in a welcome letter from their Buzztime Regional Marketing Executive. Once logged on, users are able to navigate the four tabs organized on the Resource Center Web site including "Ask, Tell, Chat," "Ad Wizard," "Marketing," and "Tools and Tips."

Ask, Tell, Chat

Buzztime-staffed community forums provide users the opportunity to share information and ideas with other operators as well as get answers and support from Buzztime when needed. Discussion threads cover topics ranging from promotions and games to marketing and technical support.

Ad Wizard

The Buzztime system allocates space on the programming schedule for locally-produced ads to run during advertising breaks within Buzztime games. Bar and restaurant operators can utilize the Ad Wizard service to create ads with custom backgrounds and messaging to promote the brand, in-store promotions, new menu roll-outs or food and beverage specials. Ad Wizard includes a calendar option to schedule run dates. Up to eight separate ads may run each day, each once per hour, 15 hours per day.

Marketing

The marketing tab on the Resource Center support sites in local store marketing activities and planning in-store promotions around Buzztime's programming schedule of games, as well as network-wide competitions and tournaments. A logo library and promotional materials can be downloaded or ordered on the site. Success stories and testimonials are featured from network sites throughout the country. The site also offers tips to maximize the availability of local ads on the system with a guide to selling ad space to local area businesses to create supplemental revenue with Buzztime.

Tools and Tips

The Tools and Tips tab includes a network guide with a server checklist, explanation of network functions and game descriptions. Customer service and technical support contact details are provided along with "Tips for Making Buzztime Work for You." Buzztime has also created a local public relations kit with template releases, media contact lists for various markets and "The Five Steps to Local PR" that operators can use to publicize Buzztime in their locations.

The launch of my.buzztime.com is part of Buzztime's continued strategic effort to offer its network sites added value through increased traffic and higher sales. An independent market research study conducted by Actionable Marketing Research shows that Buzztime players spend 47% more than non-players and stay 39% longer than non-players, providing bars and restaurants with more revenue opportunity from additional food and drink sales.
