Nortel Government Solutions Wins US$10.4 Million Air Force Services Award


WILL CONTINUE TO PROVIDE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT, SUPPORT THROUGH 2010

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio - Nortel Government Solutions*, a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel* [NYSE/TSX: NT], will continue to provide environmental management and support services through 2010 for the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate under an estimated US$10.4 million contract.

The contract calls for Nortel Government Solutions to provide a team of experienced environmental professionals to manage hazardous materials handling, hazardous waste disposal and pollution prevention in compliance with applicable regulations from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).

The Air Force Research Laboratory's Materials and Manufacturing Directorate develops materials, processes and advanced manufacturing technologies for aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, rockets, ground-based systems and related components.

Nortel Government Solutions will also operate the Directorate's Integrated Materials Management Office (IMMO), providing services ranging from budget and logistics to patent management, security and inventory management.
