Nordson DAGE and Nordson YESTECH to Display Market Leading AOI, Bond Test and X-ray Inspection Systems at NEPCON South China

Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, UK – Nordson DAGE and Nordson YESTECH, divisions of Nordson Corporation (NASDAQ: NDSN), announce they will exhibit in Booth # A-1H30 at NEPCON South China, scheduled to take place August 26-28, 2014 at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center in Shenzhen, China.

Featured at the show, the Nordson DAGE XD7600NT Diamond FP X-ray inspection system with QuickView CT utilizes the latest technology to provide the ultimate choice for the highest quality in X-ray imaging on the market today. The unique Nordson DAGE NT maintenance-free, sealed transmissive X-ray tube, providing 0.1 µm feature recognition and up to 10 W of power, together with the 3 Mpixel long lifetime CMOS flat panel detector makes this the system of choice for the highest performance and highest magnification real-time imaging.

Also on display will be the second-generation Nordson DAGE 4000Plus. The most advanced bondtester on the market performs shear tests up to 500kg, pull tests up to 100kg and push tests up to 50kg, covering all test applications including new hot bump pull and micro materials tests. The camera assist automation system is ideally suited for applications such as pull and shear testing of wafer interconnections, lead frames, hybrid microcircuits or automotive electronic packages.

Nordson YESTECH will display the FX UV AOI and BX AOI systems with advanced 5 megapixel color camera imaging technology. The Nordson YESTECH FX-UV makes inspection of conformal coatings simple and convenient by automating the inspection process for quality, consistency and thickness of coatings under UV lighting with the use of proprietary inspection algorithms. With minimal programming required, the inspection set-up is fast and intuitive typically requiring less than 30 minutes. A known good board is used to learn the coverage and non-coverage areas. The automated inspection typically takes only a few seconds with inspection results immediately displayed. These results can be stored and reviewed off-line at any time. The FX-UV also reads all common barcodes for product traceability.

The BX AOI with Advanced Fusion Lighting and 5 megapixel image processing technology integrates several techniques, including color inspection, normalized correlation and rule-based algorithms, to provide complete inspection coverage with an extremely low false failure rate. The optional four side viewing cameras add additional inspection capabilities found only on in-line systems.
