Nordson ASYMTEK Wins Two Technology Innovation Awards for its Spectrum(TM) II Fluid Dispensing System

Carlsbad, CA, USA - Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN), a leader in dispensing, coating, and jetting technologies, earned two prestigious awards for innovative technology during NEPCON China 2014: the Innovation Award from Electronics Manufacturing (EM) Asia and the VISION Award from SMT China magazines. The awards were presented for achievement in product excellence in the dispensing equipment category for Nordson ASYMTEK's Spectrum™ II automated fluid dispensing system. Nordson ASYMTEK products have received these awards for eight straight years.

The award-winning Spectrum II is a high-speed, high-accuracy fluid dispenser for a wide variety of precision dispensing applications in microelectronics and semiconductor manufacturing, including encapsulation, underfill, and low-temperature solder dispensing. The Spectrum II enables extremely high precision dispensing without compromising speed. It accomplishes this with a very small footprint of 600mm x 1321mm that minimizes manufacturing floor space and achieves maximum productivity per square meter. The Spectrum II's design and feature-set improve the dynamic accuracy, throughput, and ease-of-use of the system for the evolving applications and user base in the Chinese manufacturing market.

Entries were judged on innovation and achievement and for setting challenging objectives.
The SMT China VISION Award honors achievements in China's electronics manufacturing industry. Awards are based on the creativeness and innovativeness of the product and its contribution in helping the downstream industries to reduce cost, improve quality, increase efficiency, enhance reliability, improve safety, and environmental friendliness.
Both awards were presented at ceremonies held during NEPCON China, Shanghai, China, April 2014.
