NordiaSoft's Product Selected as Finalist for Technology of the Year Award
GATINEAU, Quebec – NordiaSoft, provider of the most popular Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for Software Defined Radios (SDR) based on the Software Communications Architecture (SCA), announced today one of its products has been selected as a finalist for the Wireless Innovation Forum's (WInnForum) 2014 Technology of the Year Award.
NordiaSoft's R-Check SCA Plugin for SCA Architect addresses the "Certification Process for Third Party Waveform Software," which ranks second in the WInnForum list of the Ten Most Wanted Wireless Innovations. The plugin is the result of a close collaboration between NordiaSoft and Reservoir Labs. It seamlessly integrates NordiaSoft's SCA Architect, an Eclipse-based graphical modeling tool for SDR / SCA development, with Reservoir Labs' R-Check SCA, a static analysis tool for SCA compliance testing. "We are delighted to collaborate with NordiaSoft as we are creating a combined software stack to further improve the developers' experience," said Rich Lethin, President of Reservoir Labs.
The plugin offers radio manufacturers the ability to test their source code for SCA-compliance within the same environment in which they are doing their own development, allowing SCA Architect developers easy access to the same testing tool the US certification authorities use to assess compliance of SCA waveforms. The plugin aims to ease the certification process and significantly reduce development cost and time to market of SCA radios.
