Nippon Pulse Offers Parallel Cabling Option on LSM

Nippon Pulse introduces a new parallel option on its Linear Shaft Motor to simplify cable management and routing when using multiple motors with one encoder and one servo drive.

One of the main benefits of the Nippon Pulse Linear Shaft Motor is its ability to drive two motors in parallel using only one encoder and one amplifier. Running traditional linear motion systems, including ball-screws, requires two drives, two controllers, and two encoders connected together, which can make cable management a difficult task. The new parallel option, which simplifies cable management, offers several advantages in high precision, high force, and Cartesian gantry robot systems.

When ordering multiple Linear Shaft Motors to use in a parallel system, this new option provides the motors with mirrored cable exit locations.

The new parallel option marks a change from the standard motor, which has identical cable exit locations.

The cost of two motors with the new parallel option is the same as two standard Linear Shaft Motors.
