Nimbus Data's Gemini Flash Memory Array Wins, Takes Home Multiple Product of the Year Awards

Outguns the all-flash storage competition, affirming industry leadership and end-user endorsement
South San Francisco, CA- Nimbus Data Systems, Inc., the leader in Sustainable Storage®, today announced that in the past month it has received four industry awards for Gemini, its third-generation all-flash memory storage system. Gemini outgunned the all-flash competition in Storage Magazine’s Product of the Year awards, receiving Bronze for Enterprise Storage Systems. Gemini also received recognition in the European market, taking home Silver in Best in Biz’s EMEA Most Innovative Product award, as well as two Network Computing Magazine Product of the Year awards.

The Storage - SearchStorage.com editorial staff, in conjunction with a team of users, industry experts, analysts and consultants, selected Nimbus Data’s Gemini as the Bronze winner of the Product of the Year Award for Enterprise Storage Systems. Gemini was honored for its patent-pending architecture, comprehensive software platform, and support for more than 1 petabyte of weekly data writes for up to 10 years using economical multi-level cell (MLC) flash.

Gemini also received recognition from Best in Biz EMEA, the only independent business awards program in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, judged by a team of press and industry analysts. Competing against 100 public and private companies from more than 17 countries, Gemini ultimately took home the Silver Award for its industry leading efficiency, record-setting performance, and purpose-built hardware optimized for flash memory.
Network Computing Magazine
At the Network Computing Awards Ceremony in London, the Gemini flash array received two awards for Storage and Technology Product of the Year. With over 6,000 end-users and readers of Network Computing participating in the vote, the UK’s longest established magazine dedicated to network management, Nimbus Data was the only all-flash systems company to be honored.
