New Video Highlights Flexible Cutting Tool at Fabrico
Kennesaw, GA - Fabrico, the leader in design and manufacturing services for flexible materials, announces a new video highlighting the Jet Edge Model HR48 water jet cutter at its Kennesaw, Georgia facility. This cutting tool can accommodate a greater variety of materials and widths, and provides the capacity for more intricate shapes and patterns. Its digital format is ideal for short and long runs, expanding Fabrico's capacity for both prototyping and full production.
The Jet Edge cutter leaves a straight wall on thicker materials, such as foams and soft rubbers, and leaves no adverse mechanical or thermal effect on the material. Because of its digital format, the water jet cutter requires neither expensive tooling nor final finishing. And, because there is no hard tooling, changes can be easily accommodated.
Controlled by Jet Edge's PC-based AquaVision interface featuring SigmaNest software, the water jet cutter ensures repeatability up to .001" and accuracy up to .005", enabling precision cutting of intricate designs, including very small apertures. For example, Fabrico is already using the new cutter to cut 1/8" washers out of 1/8" thick epoxy-impregnated carbon glass cloth, an operation previously not possible using traditional presses.
