New Tehran Commerce Centre Relies on Vivotek
The ancient city of Tehran has been rebuilt to reflect modern ideas and innovative designs many times throughout its history; however this constant evolution has always adhered to strict aesthetic standards. Continuing this spirit, Vivotek camera systems, offering the absolute latest in surveillance technology while maintaining stylish appearance, have become increasingly popular in this city of 8.3 million.
Located in the west of Tehran City, the brand new 'YAS' Commercial Center was in need of an advanced and comprehensive surveillance system. It required cameras and connectivity solutions to cover a range of interior and exterior spaces, including parking areas, main corridors, entrances and exits, and other spaces, for protecting people inside or outside the centre. Pooya Fara Negar, distributor of Vivotek on this case, worked hard to come to a full understanding of the YAS Commercial Center’s needs, and provide a perfectly tailored IP-based security and surveillance system.
A total of 305 Vivotek cameras were installed across both the interior and exterior spaces of the YAS Commercial Center, ensuring complete coverage of all areas under any lighting or weather conditions, while maintaining a low profile and blending in with the stylish design of the centre.
Tehran’s climate, which may be unpredictably harsh at times with temperatures ranging from −17 °C to 43 °C, would test the mettle of any surveillance system. Vivotek’s IP8332 and SD8363E were chosen to meet this harsh challenge, and of course for their image quality in all lighting conditions. 82 IP8332s, a bullet-style network camera, were installed to cover parking areas. Incorporating a number of advanced features, such as a 1MP sensor enabling 1280x800 viewing resolution at a smooth 30 fps, a removable IR-cut filter and IR illuminators effective up to 15M for superior image quality around the clock, and an IP66-rated housing to withstand rain, dust and other environmental pollutants, the IP8332 is an ideal option for outdoor parking lot applications. 11 high performance SD8363E
Speed domes with 20x zoom lenses were also installed around building perimeters to ensure total coverage. The SD8363E features 1080p Full HD resolution, IP66- and NEMA 4X-rated housing, and real-time H.264, MPEG-4 and MJPEC compression.
For indoor environments such as corridors, foyers and communal areas, FD8137H, IP8131, FD8164 and FD8166 were selected and installed for their small sizes, quality design, and excellent image quality. The Vivotek FD8164 is an easy-to-use fixed dome network camera specifically designed for indoor security applications with a compact, stylish exterior. Designed with a 2 megapixel CMOS sensor, the FD8164 enables capturing high quality and high resolution video. Vivotek FD8166 is an extremely small fixed dome network camera. With installation as easy as one-two-three and Power over Ethernet functionality, setup time is less than 120 seconds, making installation quick and easy.
