New Rack & Pinion Drive System Catalog Available from ATLANTA

Press release date: January 18, 2012

ATLANTA Drive Systems Inc., who is known throughout the World as an industry leader in Rack & Pinion Drive Technologies, is pleased to announce the publication of their new Rack & Pinion Drive System Catalog. ATLANTA draws on their vast experience combined with their wide, standard program range to address and solve just about any application requirements presented. ATLANTA's rack & pinion drive systems are available in five levels of precision and utilize their wide range of standard rack & pinions and servo reducers to meet any axis drive requirements. ATLANTA has the widest standard range of rack and pinions in the World, consisting of both helical & straight (spur) tooth versions, in an assortment of sizes (module 1.0 to 12.0), materials and quality levels (DIN 4 to 10, AGMA 8 to 12+). Further expanding their hardened & ground rack range, ATLANTA has added DIN 7 and 8 quality levels to provide more competitive price points to meet customer's accuracy needs. The new StrongLine DIN 5 hardened & ground gear racks utilizes an innovative carburized case-hardening process to increase the strength of the rack, including the tooth flanks and root, which maximizes its power density, stiffness and performance. The new TR ISO 9409-1 flanged pinions have compact designs to reduce the amount of drive torque required and allow for a smaller reducer to be used. These pinions make it possible to achieve very highly dynamic axis drives with high precision & repeatability. With this new catalog, ATLANTA has also updated their rack & pinion force ratings based on the latest refined calculation methods and material data, now offering the highest force capacities in the Industry. Also available from ATLANTA is the HighForce rack & pinion drive systems, which have an integral output housing and outboard bearing to provide a rigid support to the output pinion, increasing the linear stiffness of the system by 300%, as well as increasing the power density of the system. This new catalog is available for download on ATLANTA's website in PDF format at www.atlantadrives.com.
