New R2 Certification Confirms Advanced Chemical's Responsible Recycling Practices

Warwick, Rhode Island — Advanced Chemical, a full service precious metals refiner, is proud to announce it recently received Responsible Recycling Practices (R2) Certification.

Through audits and other means, the accredited R2 Certification program requires electronics recyclers demonstrate to an accredited, independent third-party auditor that they meet specific high environmental standards and safely manage used electronics.

Once certified, recyclers must continue to meet standards through continual oversight by the independent auditor. Auditors themselves are reviewed by a certification accreditation board to ensure they meet specific responsibilities and are competent to audit and provide certification since EPA support will continue to push for continuous improvement of electronics recycling practices and standards.

In addition to being a certified electronics recycler, Advanced Chemical is an ISO-9001:2008, ISO-14001-2004, ITAR Certified company that regularly maintains high standards to safely recycle and manage electronics.

"The certification gives the public, our suppliers, and our customer base peace of mind because they know we are doing it right," said John Antonacci, Director of Sales and Marketing at Advanced Chemical. "We're using this program to make everything better. Nailing down procedures helps increase our productivity. We're constantly in a state of improvement."
