New President/CEO Elected at Rea Magnet Wire Company, Inc.


Jim Vann, Chairman of the Board of Rea Magnet Wire Company, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Rea Board of Directors has elected Charles E. Fisher as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rea effective October 1, 2007. As President and CEO, Mr. Fisher will oversee all Rea operations in the US, Mexico and China.

Mr. Fisher joins Rea from EDSCHA, a Pontiac, Michigan Global Tier One Supplier to the automotive industry where he served as its CEO and President of North American operations. Prior to his position with EDSCHA, Mr. Fisher held various positions at the Lear Corporation including President of the Customer Focused Division and Vice President of Global Purchasing. Lear, like EDSCHA, is a Global Tier One Supplier to the automotive industry.

After graduating from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration, Mr. Fisher began his career with the National Security Agency followed by several years each with MIOSHA, Borg Warner and Excel Automotive.

Mr. Fisher replaces Larry Bagwell who recently retired from Rea as Chairman and CEO. Mr. Bagwell was instrumental in expanding Rea's operations and making Rea the largest manufacturer of magnet wire in North America today. Rea has its Corporate Headquarters and two manufacturing locations in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and additional manufacturing locations in Lafayette, Indiana; Las Cruces, New Mexico; Guilford, Connecticut; Ashland, Virginia; Osceola, Arkansas; Monterrey, Mexico; Nanhai, China; Tianjin, China; and a new facility under construction in Changshu City, China. Rea employs more than 1,200 people world-wide.
