New NI Silicon Valley Office Increases Efficiency and Fosters Employee Collaboration

NI opened a new office in the heart of Silicon Valley on July 16 to improve customer experience and training, facilitate employee collaboration, and engage with the engineering talent and expertise in the area.

The 50,000 square foot facility has hardware development and systems engineering labs, conference rooms for customer and employee meetings, two large rooms fully equipped with NI products for customer training and marketing events, a manufacturing facility with a clean room for manufacturing microwave and RF components, a fitness center, and a cafeteria with an outdoor patio to hold traditional NI social gatherings.

Existing Silicon Valley area employees from Ettus Research, Phase Matrix, NI RD, and NI Sales (engineering field sales, customer education, and systems engineering) relocated to the new office. Bringing these groups together into a larger organization in a centralized facility enhances cross-team partnerships and innovation and opens new career opportunities for employees.

Situated within an RF/microwave hub, the office further establishes NI in this RF-rich community located near universities, including Stanford and the University of California at Berkeley; key customers; and suppliers including Intel, Xilinx, and Analog Devices.

Local customers, partners, press, and Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce officials attended the grand opening, which included a ceremonial ribbon cutting and demo tours showcasing NI’s innovative tools and technologies.
