New Features for Web-Based Tool Enhance Online Experience for Verizon Business Wholesale Customers

Improvements in 'Portfolio' Mean Faster, More Agile Processes for Pricing, Ordering and Reporting

BASKING RIDGE, N.J., Oct. 8 -- Verizon Business has enhanced its Web-based portal for wholesale customers giving them more control and faster processing of private and metro private line orders, including pricing and status reporting.

"With these enhancements, the Portfolio portal further empowers our wholesale customers to better manage their business with the immediate improvements in timeliness, control and visibility -- all in an effort to make it easier for our wholesale customers to work with Verizon Business," said Tom Vitale, vice president of customer enablement and cross product support for Verizon Business.

As part of the new features, which take effect in November, Verizon Business will offer system-to-system access, called electronic bonding, or eBonding, which allows customers to quickly and securely receive price quotes for private and metro private lines.

With Portfolio's Advanced Reporting Tool (ART), order status will be available in near real-time, allowing for better visibility of circuit inventories and specific circuit-order status. The tool also has been revamped to provide more intuitive click-through use and easier access to other Verizon Business back-office systems.

Additional enhancements to Portfolio give wholesale customers more control with new self-order capabilities. These same order screens are formatted to send immediate edit prompts that allow the user to quickly correct errors, thus avoiding delays related to corrective actions. Customers also can take advantage of new streamlined order processes and auto-populated fields that help eliminate potential errors.

To further smooth the online experience, wholesale customers can take advantage of the online help feature and electronic user guide, available on a 24 x 7 basis, giving customers the option of quickly addressing problems.

There is no charge to use Portfolio, although wholesale customers must have entitlement privileges to access the Web-based tool.

Wholesale products are sold by Verizon Partner Solutions and Verizon Business International Partner Solutions.
