New Ergonomic Design Handbook Offers Guidelines to Reduce Injuries and Improve Productivity

April 9, 2008

Ann Arbor, MICH - The Handbook of Ergonomic Design Guidelines, published by Humantech, leaders in the field of workplace improvement, provides the data needed to design and maintain a world-class work environment. Developed by Humantech's Certified Professional Ergonomists, the new full-color handbook offers specific, practical, and application-oriented guidelines with a focus on functional anthropometrics.

According to Humantech vice president Josh Kerst, the publication "represents one of the most user-friendly compilations of technical data ever offered. Imagine having all of the relevant technical information an engineer or ergonomics team member needs, all within an arm's reach."

"The goal was to offer a single source of information that could take the place of scores of manuals and textbooks", added James Mallon, Humantech vice president.
The 271-page handbook covers topics including workstations, manual material handling, hand tools, controls and displays, and environment, among others. The Handbook of Ergonomic Design Guidelines is available for $385, including ground shipping within the continental United States. All of Humantech's publications, including the Applied Industrial Ergonomics manual and Humantech's Pocket Primer series can be purchased online by visiting www.humantech.com or by calling (734) 663-6707.
