New Dow Corning Entity Created to Serve Growing Customer Needs in Asia
DC Silicone Rubber (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. to Provide a Full Range of Dow Corning® Branded Silicone Rubber Product Offering in Asia
Midland, Mich. (August 16, 2007) - Dow Corning Corporation (www.dowcorning.com) announced the creation of DC Silicone Rubber (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dow Corning established to offer an expanded range of Dow Corning-branded silicone rubber products and solutions in Asia.
"DC Silicone Rubber (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. will provide customers in Asia a wide range of quality silicone rubber products formulated to Dow Corning-brand quality standards," said Mark Maxwell, global marketing director for Dow Corning Engineered Elastomers. "Customers will have access to tailor-made service support from dedicated Dow Corning commercial teams committed to helping customer's business succeed."
The creation of DC Silicone Rubber (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. closely follows Dow Corning's January 1, 2007, divestiture from DC Dongjue Silicone Group Co., Ltd. (DCDSG), a joint venture company with New Energy Chemical Groups Ltd.- holding company for Dongjue Fine Chemicals (Nanjing) Co. Ltd.
As of the divestiture, Dongjue Silicone Group no longer holds any direct association with Dow Corning or rights to represent Dow Corning and its associated trademarks in future trading.

Dow Corning and Dongjue Fine Chemical (Nanjing) Co Ltd. operate as separate companies and offer separate lines of silicone rubber products.
