New 3G Modem Upgrade for DataTaker Modem DataLoggers

Automatic Data Transfer Capability for Remote Monitoring Applications

CHESTERLAND OH —  CAS DataLoggers along with dataTaker announces a new 3G cellular modem upgrade to the bestselling dataTaker M models. These universal dataloggers have a built-in cellular modem for automatic data transfer and alarm capabilities. Keeping up with technological changes in the network, the new upgrade applies to all dataTaker modem data loggers including the DT80M, DT82EM environmental logger, the DT85M with expanded channels, and DT85GM geotechnical models. These improved models are available immediately from CAS DataLoggers and we've already provided these solutions to customers working in mobile vehicle applications including shipping and transport logistics. To see what automatic data transfer can do for YOUR application, give our Applications Specialists a call at (800) 956-4437 and see for yourself!

The M series is specifically designed for a wide variety of remote and outdoor projects where frequent access to the logger is impractical, including environmental monitoring, vehicle testing, geotechnical applications, weather stations, and more. Forget about having to travel out to the device to get your data—these data loggers have an internal modem which schedules all data to be automatically emailed to your inbox every day, week, month, or other time period.

Configurable alarm conditions trigger automatic data delivery in addition to sending alarm messages to multiple email addresses or mobile phones via SMS messaging. The DT80M's internal FTP server automatically sends data to an office over the internet or mobile phone network without the need for polling or specific host software.

Our flagship product the dataTaker DT80M Intelligent Data Logger is ideal for performing remote monitoring and control tasks in real time. The DT80M features the same functionality as the bestselling DT80 model but adds an integrated 3G cellular modem allowing users remote access and automated data transfers to email or FTP. This low-power, easy to use solution also boasts an extensive suite of advanced alarm and programming capabilities allowing the loggers to process measurements and automatically initiate actions on their own.

The DT80M can measure temperature, voltage, current, 4-20mA loops, resistance, bridges, strain gauges, and frequency, and its channels are easily expandable up to a maximum of 300 analog inputs. For extended logging the device's large internal memory stores up to 10 million data points. Featuring sophisticated remote monitoring communications, the DT80M can connect to a PC either locally, remotely, or over the Internet via its Ethernet and USB ports.

The DT85GM Intelligent Vibrating Wire Data Logger is a low-power solution with an integrated 3G cellular modem for remote monitoring applications, networkability, and automated data transfer. These modem data loggers have support for email and SMS, Modbus master and slave and vibrating wire sensors for use in the geotechnical and construction industries. With up to 48 universal analog sensor channels as standard and expandable up to 960 sensors, this intelligent datalogger is ideal for any geotechnical project. Users can rely on dataTaker's world-famous rugged design and construction for reliable operation even in typically harsh geotechnical environments and construction applications.

FREE dEX configuration software is built into every dataTaker datalogger so there are no applications to install. The dEX intuitive graphical interface can be accessed locally or remotely, anywhere that a TCP/IP connection is available including worldwide over the Internet. Users can configure the DT80M directly in a web browser and remotely access all logged data via the internal modem, and view real time measurements as mimics or charts using a Windows Explorer-style graphical interface. This intuitive software easily guides users through configuration to suit both new and veteran users. The datalogger's integral modem is preconfigured for simple setup using the dEX operator interface and even lets users reconfigure the system via the Internet.
