NEMA Communications Department Wins 9 Hermes Creative Awards, 5 Honorable Mentions



ROSSLYN, Va., —The National Association of Electrical Manufacturers (NEMA) Communications Department won nine platinum and gold awards and five honorable mentions for ei, the magazine of the electroindustry and eiXtra, a twice-monthly e-newsletter, in the 2016 Hermes Creative Awards.



“The awards NEMA has received on behalf of the communications department reflects the incredible amount of time and talent that goes into producing publications such as ei magazine and eiXtra,” said NEMA President and CEO Kevin J. Cosgriff. “We are proud of what they have accomplished and pleased that so much of their work has received recognition outside the industry.”



Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, and design of traditional materials and emerging technologies. Administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, the competition has grown to one of the largest of its kind in the world. Winners range from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 500 companies.



There were approximately 6,000 entries from the U.S. and more than 20 other countries in the competition. About 15 percent of the entries receive platinum, the highest honor; 22 percent gold; and 11 percent honorable mention.
